Kurt Wauters is currently Network and System Engineer. In the past 14 years, he’s had different roles inside BICS starting in provisioning (Transmission), going into 2line network operations (Transmission & IP) but for the past 6 years, he’s working as part of the engineering team. In the IP engineering team, he’s responsible for the following tasks:

• Improve and extend the BICS Core IP/MPLS Network
• Develop and implement new services and products in close collaboration with Product Management, Operational departments, Procurement, and external suppliers
• Vendor management, Vendor selection (RFI and RFP processes)
• Support to solve complex network problems
• Standardize and automate network templates/configurations/operations
