In the last years, Ansible became the go-to tool for networking- and security teams trying to automate their operations, including networking giants Cisco and Juniper, futuristic outfits like NASA, cool equipment manufacturers like GoPro, or financial organizations like UBS and Capital One.

Ansible’s step-by-step task-oriented approach (as opposed to declarative state management offered by tools like Chef and Puppet) is a perfect match to common procedures networking and security professionals have to use due to the extremely-large blast radius of potential failures. Having officially-supported modules for dozens of different networking devices, including data center switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls is an added bonus.

This workshop will help you learn the basics of Ansible, YAML and Jinja2 (the foundational technologies used by Ansible), the pesky details that trip Ansible beginners, and how to use Ansible to automate your network.
